What a difference!

January 5, 2020

What a difference!

When my daughter and I first came to Waredaca our horse Rainy was a handful.  She reared and spun walking across the field to a lesson and would regularly run away with her rider at unexpected moments.  Trail riding and field work was out of the question and she refused to walk through water.  After being in the training program at Waredaca for just over a year, Rainy and my daughter competed in their first event and won a blue ribbon. Our horse has confidence and we now have confidence as her riders.  There were no tricks involved in the training of all of us -- just patient consistent excellent instruction by Steph Kohr and the other talented instructors and staff at Waredaca, as well as attentive care of our horse - including ample daily turnout.  We have now been at Waredaca just over four years.  Last week she and my daughter joined the hunt for the first time and rode through streams, forests and fields for two hours!!  Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine that would be possible on this horse.  Thank you Waredaca for showing us that with the right training and a healthy environment, the unimaginable can become a happy reality.   Laura W.
