Boarding at Waredaca

What makes us unique?

Our core staff members have been involved in Waredaca management for over 25 years. Our instructors are certified by CHA or the USEA and have been teaching here for over 15 years. Some even began riding here as children.

This continuity of personnel offers boarders and students reassurance that is hard to match. Visitors easily recognize our commitment to the horses, the farm and to the people here. Standards are high, as is camaraderie and friendship. Community and contented horses are key ingredients to our success.

Waredaca Farm is a 220-acre recreational horseback riding facility. Approximately 80 horses live on the property. Stall-boarded mares and geldings are turned out separately whereas field-boarded horses are in mixed herds on large, open fields. There are fresh water sources around the property, as well as natural shelter, in addition to sheds and water troughs. The fencing is both board and high tensile wire, checked daily.

Multiple family members live at Waredaca, so there is round-the-clock monitoring of all horses. We feed Purina performance products; hay provided is generally timothy and other grass blends. Our farriers, Alpha Omega Associates, visit Waredaca on a weekly basis. The worming and vaccination program we use is under the guidance and advice of Damascus Equine Associates, the veterinary group that handles our equine care at Waredaca. It is most important that all the horses at Waredaca are on the same schedule of preventative care to offer the best protection possible. You may use your own farrier or vet for other care, but it becomes your responsibility to assist or hold your horse.

Dogs are welcome at Waredaca if they are well behaved, supervised, and on-leash, according to our
Dog Policy.

Waredaca hosts US Equestrian Federation/US Eventing Association recognized competitions and unrecognized competitions in early May, mid-August, and late October/early November respectively. The October event also includes our Classic Three-Day competition, a rare offering in this region. Waredaca is also an active US Pony Club Riding Center.
